Sustainability is OUR responsibility.

Waterfall Sunset

Sustainability is no longer just a buzzword or a passing trend; it has become a fundamental pillar of our society. In its essence, sustainability represents the harmonious coexistence of environmental, social, and economic dimensions, forming a delicate balance that ensures the well-being of both present and future generations. What are we doing about it?
At its core, environmental sustainability refers to the responsible and efficient use of natural resources, while minimizing pollution and waste. It encompasses preserving biodiversity, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and embracing renewable energy sources. It means adopting eco-friendly practices in every aspect of life, from industries and agriculture to transportation and infrastructure. Embracing environmental sustainability means acknowledging that our planet has finite resources and that we must work together to protect and preserve them.
Ultimately, sustainability is about embracing a holistic approach to decision-making, where environmental, social, and economic concerns are all taken into consideration. It calls for a paradigm shift in how we currently operate, urging us to think long-term and beyond our immediate needs. It is a commitment to finding innovative solutions that will allow us to thrive within the boundaries of our planet's resources.
Sustainability is not an individual effort; it requires the collaboration of governments, businesses, and individuals. Organizations must integrate sustainable practices into their strategies and operations, while individuals must make conscious choices and adopt behaviors that minimize their environmental footprint. Education and awareness play a crucial role in driving this change, as they empower people with the knowledge and tools to make sustainable choices.
In conclusion, sustainability is the path we must follow to ensure a better future. It is the balance we must strike between environmental responsibility, social progress, and economic prosperity. By embracing sustainability, we can preserve our planet for future generations, building a brighter tomorrow by embracing contentious changes today.

  • Clear Sphere with Tree

    Reducing Resource Use & Waste.

We focus on reducing waste in three primary categories: Power, material, and time. The solutions we provide incorporate this mission by the use of:
    - Energy efficient techniques: We help decrease the amount of power and machine time necessary to produce quality results by use of efficient technology and intelligent design.
    - Reduced material waste: Using efficient equipment and processes to reduce scrap rates and rework minimizes production losses and the material headed to landfill.
    - Minimizing lost time: Both operations and managerial teams have increasing demands and less time to manage them. We provide solutions that help your team have more time for higher-order tasks.

    Extending servicable life of equipment.

New equipment takes incredible resources to manufacture; water, power, materials, transportation, etc. In efforts to reduce these losses and minimize the scrapping of equipment, PESCO provides a number of options to help extend the serviceable life of equipment. From preventive maintenance programs to retrofits and retooling, we have developed solutions that are both environmentally conscious and economically viable to aid our sustainability mission.

As an added benefit when looking at the total cost of ownership, it is typically more budget friendly to improve and upgrade than it is to replace.

  • Holding Seedling

    Efficiency & Renewable Materials.

We work with companies and vendors to utilize materials in the most efficient manner possible. This could mean changing a component from a rigid container to a pouch or bag to increase recyclability of the package and reduce material consumption.

While in some situations it is not viable to transition to renewable, for many use cases recycled or renewable options are an excellent solution. We help our clients manage the technical changes necessary to increase efficiency while adapting to these new material choices, from PCR plastics to renewable resins such as sugar cane and bio-based formulas.
