Before PESCO, our maintenance man was overwhelmed, and so many of our complications were outside his skill set. That makes what PESCO does a really big deal. They also bring a lot of knowledge and experience, and they've taught our people how to do a lot of things on their own.

Prevent Equipment Problems Before They Become Production Problems
PESCO's Downtime Prevention Programs combine regularly scheduled preventive maintenance, equipment condition tracking and responsive technical support, all built around your machinery, production demands and maintenance capabilities. Every program begins with an on-site assessment. We evaluate the condition of each machine, identify immediate vulnerabilities, and develop a maintenance plan specifically for your operation. No generic packages, no one-size-fits-all checklists.

Is a PESCO Service Program Right for Your Plant?
Our service programs are built for plants from small shops to 500 employees. Plants too small for OEM service contracts, and too large to run without structured maintenance support.
Our programs provide the greatest value when the production value and equipment replacement costs significantly exceed the cost of preventive support. We may not be a good fit where machines cost less than the program.
How Our Program Works
01
On-Site Assessment
PESCO begins with a one-visit observational assessment of the equipment being considered for coverage. Each machine receives:
- A condition rating from 1: Critical, to 5: Excellent
- A detailed equipment condition page
- A list of recommended critical spares
- Identified maintenance requirements
- Baseline photographs for future comparison
CONDITION RATING SCALE
1
Critical
Failure expected
2
Poor
Known defects
3
Fair
Serviceable, watch items
4
Good
Routine upkeep
5
Excellent
As specified
02
Remediation, When Needed
Equipment rated below 3 must be brought to an acceptable condition before program coverage begins. You can have the remediation performed by PESCO, your own team or another qualified provider. In every case, PESCO verifies the completed work before coverage begins.
03
Proposal
Whether monitoring, maintenance services or a combined approach, the proposal is built on your numbers: downtime events, hours lost, production value per hour. You see the scope and the investment before you commit to anything. If you decide PESCO is the right fit, the assessment fee is credited toward your first month of service.
04
Personalized Maintenance Plan
Using the assessment findings, PESCO develops a preventive maintenance program based on your equipment, production schedule, operating environment and level of in-house maintenance support. Your first visit is typically scheduled within two weeks of signing your agreement, unless otherwise agreed.
Included With Every Service Program
- Scheduled preventive maintenance visits
- Equipment condition tracking
- Per-Machine Checklist and Visit Reports (1)
- Remote technical support
- Quarterly and annual service events (2)
- Verification of daily operator-level maintenance tasks
- Preferred labor rates on additional work
- Following every visit, PESCO delivers a Per-Machine Checklist and a detailed Visit Report within 48 business hours. Reports document our findings, equipment condition changes, photographs, recommended actions and parts requirements, giving you a clear maintenance record and an early warning of developing problems.
- Quarterly and annual service events provide more extensive inspections and maintenance beyond the work performed during regularly scheduled visits.
Program Tiers
TIER 1
Essential
One scheduled service visit per month, plus remote support by phone.
TIER 2
Comprehensive
Two scheduled service visits per month, plus remote support by phone, video and screen sharing.
TIER 3
Premium
Four scheduled service visits per month with a dedicated technician, plus phone, video and screen-sharing support. Premium support also includes remote PLC access, where applicable.
Continuous condition monitoring pairs with any Service Program tier, priced per monitoring point. Monitoring is also available on its own; see Condition Monitoring.
At every tier, before any emergency dispatch, we run a remote triage: diagnosis, parts availability, serviceability, recovery options and authorization. Your technician arrives with a plan, not a guess.
Multi-Line Pricing
Your per-line cost falls as lines are added. We also offer savings for Multi-Year Contracts, Autopay and Annual Prepayment.
Our Quality Assurances
- All work comes with a 30-day workmanship warranty.
- PESCO-supplied parts include the manufacturer warranty plus a 90-day installation warranty.
- Insured, with certificate available on request.
Optional Quality and Compliance Support
- Calibration tracking
- Equipment SOP review
- IQ/OQ/PQ documentation
- Equipment-related CAPA
Contract clients get contracted labor rates on all other work. Your price advantage grows with each tier.
Spare Parts Planning
PESCO classifies required parts as critical, standard or special-order, helping you determine what should be kept on site and what can be ordered as needed. Maintaining the recommended critical spares allows your Downtime Prevention Program to provide the greatest possible protection.
Optional quarterly inventory reviews are also available.
Service Schedule
Your Downtime Prevention Program is scheduled around your production calendar. Most programs run 48 service weeks a year; we don’t schedule routine visits during Christmas week, and your program can exclude additional weeks for planned shutdowns and audits, or add coverage where your operation needs it.
Daily operator-level tasks stay with you. PESCO verifies them at each visit.
Operator Training
Equipment reliability also depends on what happens between our visits. PESCO’s operator training helps your team use, clean, change over and maintain equipment properly, while recognizing developing problems early.
Quarterly operator training is included with Premium programs and is available separately for all clients.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you replace our maintenance team?
No. Daily operator-level maintenance stays with your people, and we verify it on every visit. Our job is to handle the structured program and the specialized work, and to make your team more capable, not more dependent.
What if a machine is already in poor condition?
Machines rated below 3 on our five-point scale need remediation before coverage begins. PESCO can do the work, your team can, or a third party can. We verify it either way, and the rest of your equipment can start its program without waiting.
How soon can a program start?
Your first visit is typically scheduled within two weeks of signing your agreement. The assessment that precedes the proposal is a single visit.
