With the PESCO performance assessment program, find out how we use SMART goals and LEAN processes to help you achieve:

  • Increased Throughput

  • Reduced Downtime

  • Improved Labor Allocation

  • Maximized Sustainability & Reduced Carbon Footprint

How do we achieve these goals?

  • Review process inefficiencies for improvement opportunities.

  • Reduce handling and lost-time events.

  • Look at automation opportunities and weigh against ROI.

  • Improve resource allocation.

  • Use SMART goals.

SMART Goals

What is SMART?

SMART is a five-letter acronym that helps define goals in a very effective way. SMART goals ensure that objectives are clearly defined and attainable within a certain timeframe. Creating SMART goals often reveals instances where resources and priorities are not aligned.

  • S: Specific. What needs to be accomplished? Who is responsible? What steps are necessary to achieve it?

  • M: Measurable. Developing a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) is necessary to quantifying the goal. It must be measured to be trackable.

  • A: Achievable. Goals should be realistic. Scale, budget, scope, all goals should be compared to requirements and restrictions to ensure the goal is achievable.

  • R: Relevant. The goal should correlate to a big-picture initiative. Why is this goal being set? What benefit will it achieve?

  • T: Time-Bound. Setting a final key to the structure of SMART is ensuring the goal can be reached in a real, impactful way. If the goal is achievable but misses the opportunity, what good is it?
